A standing offer to everyone (regulars, lurkers, and doubters)

I’d like things to be visible to people who might find them helpful, but I’m really quite reluctant to be more personally visible online.

Even aside from just being generally introverted and uncomfortable on camera (which is gradually getting better), being publicly visible is professionally awkward for me. During CoViD, I kept playlists of my lectures for the university. I had some university students commenting on my personal videos (guitar and BJJ). Most just joking, “Can you play Wonderwall?” or the like, but I really shouldn’t be responding to university students outside of official channels (my work email, our online learning environment, etc). If some anonymous troll on YouTube turned out to be a student at the university, that could potentially lead to problems I’d rather avoid. I’m not anonymous in any online space and I need to protect myself professionally.

I would lose my job if I committed academic plagiarism. Plagiarism from students is potentially grounds for expulsion.
