Guitar Katas — Licks for Technique?

Are there a series of guitar “katas” to practice certain set phrases with techniques, to reduce variables?

its ike the old saying “if there is a great book you want to read, but it isnt written yet…write it”

you have to make these yourself

here are a few of mine: (99.9% of the time I start on downstroke. all of these are meant to be looped unless otherwise stated)

Extremely basic lick from like 1990 lol

G–5-----------
D-----7–5--7

Two way slanting, “inside”
B----5–6--5--------------
G-----------------7–5--7

Two way slanting, “outside”
B------------------5–6--5
G-------7–5--7-----------

Two way inside
E—12–14–15–14–12----------------
B------------------------------15–13–15

Basic 3nps two way inside and outside loop. Then of course if u start on, say, the 12 on b string then the string crosses are different but it ends up being about the same effect either way. You’d still get all the various crossing possibilities either way
E—12–14–15–14–12----------------------------------------------------------
B-----------------------------15–13–12----------------------------12–13–15
G---------------------------------------------14–12–11–12–14----------------

Easier version of Paul Gilbert lick

E-------------5–7--5--------
B–5--6–8-------------8–6

Another Paul lick in 16ths
G------------------------------------------5–9--5–7--9 etc keep climbing
D-------------5–9--5–7--9–5--7–9-----------------------------------------
A–5--7–8---------------------------------------------------------------------

Economy picked triplets climbing sequence. Always go to higher string with downstroke etc. This is for guys like me who like inside picking better. In this example the only “economy” pick is going to the B string but u get the idea
B-------------------------------------------------------------------------------12-----12etc
G----------------------------------11-----11–12–11–12–14–12–14------14
D—12–11–12–14–12–14-----14------------------------------------------------

2 Yngwieish licks with 2 Vinnie Mooresque licks:

E------------------------7–5--7–8--7–5--10–8--7--------------8–7--5---------------
B—7–5--7–8--7–5-----------------------------------10–8--7------------8–7--5 etc

Those are all pretty simple scalar stuff and I have em wired because ive done them thousands of times.

The next step for me would be to make Katas out of pedal tone stuff like this. This is the kind of thing Joe Stump improvises endlessly and perfectly:

E-5–8--7–8----8–7--8-----8–7--8-----8–7--8 etc
B---------------5-----------6-------------7

Then of course sweeping ideas:

E–8--7–5----------------------------------5–7
B------------7-----------------------------7-----
G--------------5------------------------5--------
D-----------------7------------------7-----------
A--------------------9–7--5–7--9-------------

and a simple one that I need to work on badly since I suck at 2 string arps:

E-----------------------------5–8-----5–8
B----7–5--7–8--7–5--7--------7--------

and another version of same thing:

E-----------------------7–5--7–8--7–5-----5–8—5–8----5–8-----5–8
B–7--5–7--8–7--5-----------------------7--------7-------7--------7-------

Yes, it’s called the Pickslanting Primer. It explains in detail which picking motions go with which types of phrases, and includes the best instructions we currently have for actually doing those motions correctly with a minimum of trial and error. You can find the Primer right here:
