If Tom Hess suggests it, pretty much as a rule, I wouldn’t do it.

For sure, it gave me tendinitis trying to do that, had to stop playing for a number of months

Part of me thinks, Tom Quayle being awesome, does it seemingly without effort so maybe it’s like things with picking motions. Not necessarily wrong if you do it a certain way, but even still, there are implications.
The real question is where is the “translating legato playing into sexual euphoria” masterclass
