2 quick notes on posting YT videos, since YT has now introduced this infuriating “shorts” feature that messes up the embedding on our forum:

1. before copying the link, while you are on YT, change the “shorts/” part of the URL: into “watch?v=”.

So instead of this:

 ![image](https://forum.troygrady.com/uploads/default/original/2X/7/73abd4f25afad813abcfcba0c3012ecdcc4a48be.jpeg)

You want this:

![image](https://forum.troygrady.com/uploads/default/original/2X/e/eb73ee0dc6cebc4c97bade92b01fe3e928ea46d7.png)

this should send you to a “normal youtube view” of the clip, from which you can copy the URL:

This should be the correct one for embedding.

1. post only the url in its separate line (do not put spaces or other letters/symbols before and after):

some text

youtube address

some more text

Another option for y’all that I’ve been doing:

(For the examples below, I added a space before “.com” and “.be” so the link would break and you can see the formatting)

Get the shorts link:

[https://youtube](https://youtube) .com/shorts/kepmfBXoew0?feature=share

Then replace “[youtube.com/shorts/](http://youtube.com/shorts/)” with “.be/”:

[https://youtu](https://youtu) .be/kepmfBXoew0?feature=share
