It would be cool to see what kinds of patterns you guys are coming up with to work on your picking. Here’s a cool run to get your DWPS chops up to scratch. I’ve been making good progress by coming up with my own patterns, it really helps to drill home the concept.

Thanks man, yeah I’ve been using my looper to make short tracks to practice with. I’ve got quite a few ideas for short lessons like that one. Just stuff that’s really helped me make progress over the last few months so I’ll be sure to keep posting them here. I think they could be especially useful to anyone who’s on the same picking journey as me.

I think i might prefer inside Gilbert’s these days lol. I used to grind out the outside picking stuff on 3nps patterns only to realise much later on that I was DWPS and making it 10× harder than it needed to be. I still find the Down stroke escape motion awkward.

I couldn’t find the file so I must have just used a screenshot n not saved the musescore tab. Hopefully this is clear enough. If not I’ll make another file with a few extra patterns and export it as pdf.
