i will say that there is no way i could learn chords on the guitar having heard a powerful analog polysynth. i would probably fall asleep, maybe i am losing interest in guitar. :sweat_smile:

By that do you mean literally a minor chord with a major 7th, like Em with a D# in addition to the E-G-B? Or the fact that the C major 7th chord can technically be seen as having an E minor triad inside it?

If the latter, I’d say that in context it shouldn’t sound minor at all, but sort of dreamy and almost suspended, but very major-y. If the former, I mean, that’s going to be a very dissonant sounding chord anyway, so having it work musically is really going to depend on how you resolve it… A minor chord with a major 7th isn’t really a voicing I ever find myself using though, probably because it IS such a dissonant sound.
