Ha ha yeh, this is why I always used a ton of distortion when playing live, so I didn’t wear out my fretting hand doing trills and pull offs so much, and also to hide my mistakes.
I got into many arguments with sound guys at gigs about it, they always wanted me to turn the distortion down but I thought that was my secret weapon so I would stand my ground. A bad attitude to have really, that I was so uncertain of how I would play that night, that I had to rely on distortion to paper over the cracks.
