I’m an old dude, born in the late 50s, and have been playing since I was 20. Not much due to work, but now I’m retired and have more time for guitar! I mostly use finger style, but initially learned to flat pick, and have recently learned to use a thumb pick when my abraded thumb wouldn’t allow finger style. I came here to improve my flat picking and learn the vocabulary you guys use to more accurately describe technique. I love the rig you guys developed to visually record the awesome right hand plucking techniques you guys have developed. I see you guys doing flat picking banjo rolls and stuff I can play finger style, but can’t flat pick, and want to up my chops so I can get the nice timbre one can get from a pick.

As for music I like, it leans towards blues, pop, and jazz.
