2wps conquering the scale

Major life decision here.

So, thinking in terms of conquering the scale. W/2wps

As im descending i encounter my first
Pick slant change just prior to the string switch.

After the switch My initial response is to immediately correct to dwps again then continue on until I have to switch again.

But I could choose to just maintain down or up for the duration of each string.

I want to know pros n cons or is it simply a decision.

Being a downward slanter by nature Maintaining the up will take some time but if its advantageous I will

I just need to feel my practice time is not counter productive because Im fixing to burn this habit into my body.

This is a question that has come up before - here’s one example:

The short story is that it’s a mishmash of ways - some players switch and switch back. Other switch more gradually. It also depends on the phrase. Remember, players didn’t learn this stuff consciously so what they do isn’t always particularly standardized. I don’t think there is any case to be made for any particular way to be better or worse, honestly.

And the truth is, these changes are so tiny and idiosyncratic that it’s almost not worth micromanaging them. The odds are that whatever you set out to do won’t be precisely what you end up doing anyway. The hands will figure out that last mile and do whatever feels smoothest.

For the mean time, get it happening using the visual instructions in the Pickslanting Primer, and don’t worry too much about exactly when you make these movements so long as the motions feel smooth, and the notes are correct.
