So I am shocked I have never come across this before since I always use this fingering (the second one). But I came across a particular variation that I wasn’t able to do by which finger I always had used. Here is the fingering, and why it might not be such a bad idea to learn both so it doesn’t limit your creativity. Since with the second fingering it can lead to other ideas that you wouldn’t be able to perform with the first fingering.
