i’ve been having a really hard time getting comfortable with my acoustic, especially on the lower e string, and I’m starting to think it’s because the guitar might be too big for my body as the lower bout covers most of my torso and doesn’t give me much clearance between my shoulder.

Before spending additional money, I’d use the money… you already spent as a subscriber 
You can create a platform critique and we’re totally happy to look at things like your posture relative to the guitar, etc.!
What are you playing currently, a Dreadnought? I’d suggest an OM/OOO or OO size. OM and OOO are the same body, an OM is long scale, OOO is short scale.
