i just realize that my natural scape motion is a DSX , i use to play so much upward eco and down but i felt more stable when i scape D so my question is i should practice USX?¿ cause i try it and i felt like a total noob lol.
It depends what you want to achieve really.
It’s great that you’ve figured out your natural escape motion, so you could focus on a few things:
- making sure that you are executing that well in your regular playing.
- understanding better which licks and fingerings suit you natural motion best.
- you could try to add USX to your repertoire as well, if you want

Is that you? Buddy you don’t need to worry about a thing, your playing is great.
That exercise isn’t DBX though, that’s economy picking, and is put together in such a way that there is no escape required.

yep its me ,so when i do economy downward or upward is not scape motion ?
“Escape Motion” refers to the mechanics of how you take the pick away from the strings to allow you to pick another string in a sequence (normally using alternate picking).
Economy picking removes the need to “escape” as you are continuing through the string with the same motion, so no escape is required.
Your picking motion will have an escape in it, but for that exercise, you aren’t using it.
