well not guna have a political discussion ofcourse lol though it’s it insane to have congress acually talking about this in a very serious manner…
And lol! Sounds like dragon ball z. I’ll be Gotenks, ss3 with a proper hair metal mullet.

There is no experimental evidence for it, or perceived evidence, which a bit different. Not an easy problem to reconcile, and boy have they tried.
All good, guys! When my people finally get here there will be lots of jobs building pyramids and stuff! So no worries, everyone will be busy! Also, not looking for your resources or “people for food” type situation.
(But just to be on the safe side, I suggest you practice and commit to memory - “All Hail Throgdor!!!”)
Peace
Trogdooooooooooor! Burnination! Trogdooooooooooor the burninator!
Sorry, might be my poorly-caffeinated brain, but what do you mean by this?
I understand theres no scientific current evidence for extra dimensions, only theory’s. Though my main evidence is personal experience. Psychedelic can be really convincing. And ofcourse so can dreams so yeah lol And I know eye witnesses is the lowest form of evidence.
I thought this was a cool video by Sam Harris. If you know of him he’s super rational, yet is stumped by psychedelic experience.
Theres also a cool guy called Stuart Hameroff, not to be confused with Stuart hammeron or Stuart pulloff lol. He’s got very interesting ideas about consciousness and the universe. If you’re interested.
Short answer: you need a designed repeatable experiment to prove (or disprove) it for it to become law even if it mathematically holds. In this case, it’s not an easy thing to do especially because there cannot be any directly observable evidence of it from 3D beings living in a 3D world with enhanced 2D vision who experience time in one direction linearly. Trying to design experiments to prove it even if the math looks promising is pretty difficult, and it has been many years in the making. If we are unable to do so in our capacity, what does it mean?
For the last 60 years people have been trying to find a universal theory for, well, everything, that’s where you start to see things string theory pop in. For the theory to work though and be all encompassing, we need the math to work, and for the math to work, we need those extra dimensions. It has been tough to reconcile all of this let alone anything directly observable. Do these dimensions really exist in a tangible way in reality? What’s reality? We still don’t know the answer to that one?
Maybe here’s an easy thought experiment: Imaginary numbers do not exist, they are by definition made up. Yet we need them to calculate very real non-imaginary tangible things that demonstrably do exist.
So do imaginary numbers exist?
Sorry guys, but we should really be discussing burninating. I think that’s really what will lead us to the heart of all things… Dragons and art skills…
Imaginary numbers do exist. By definition, when squared the result is negative. ‘Imaginary’ is just a name.
All numbers are made up. Since they are not physical objects but concepts, that does not mean they don’t exist.
</pedantry>
mmmmm
Turns out that there are ways in which we can look for evidence of extra dimensions, it’s not just “could be true and we’d never know.” Most theories that use them do so because they help solve other problems in physics.
So far, we have found none of the possible evidence, so far as I know.
The imaginary numbers thing is a canard. Mathematics is a (very useful) mental construct. The putative extra dimensions are not.
I wouldn’t say they are not. Perhaps for the current perspective on physics. And in many ways, dimensions that you can’t physically point to won’t have evidence, it’ll be where there is a lack of evidence, or something disappearing from “existence”

There are only theories on how some think we may be able to based on the construct of the theory itself or whether it holds to be true.

Well I think maybe some of the more nuanced philosophical aspect was lost in what I was trying to get at, but what makes one a canard and the other not, or rather what makes one a useful mental construct to solve a problem and the other not a mental construct to solve a problem.

That is certainly one of the current thoughts on the matter. However it tends to break some of the long held scientific dogma that a lack of evidence doesn’t equal evidence.
Anyway discussions like these that delve into the more heavy handed scientific and philosophical aspects kinda bum me out. I like reading the creepier first hand experiences.

like what?
I’m interested in the fringe stuff, thats where breakthroughs are made.
I believe we have everything we need in our mind to realize reality with out the Bible, Koran, Torah, Bhagavad Gita etc… Science… Bhagavad Gita was pretty cool, tho lot of I’m the best ever, the light, the soul, the thought and so on… it’s like comon man…
All got legit ideas, and a lot of lol comon stuff.
I think our mind can do it all. Though thats my personal belief.
I really am a hardcore scientific lover, but it’s so boring and slow, and the religions are all I’m the best ever… Ego in many ways. Though thats my perspective atm…
You need to have others to make life worth living, being alone or the best is literal hell. Takes two to tango right…
Like for example this
I’m skeptical of this but its fun The laser burrowing is perhaps real tho… The other stuff besides him being hardcore usa is, at least strange, stuff to keep in mind. I believe in the USA and the Constitution a Lot. Dispite being ironically English. I am also ignorent of a lot of it. I understand the basics but need to fully read it all. And fully understand it before I say something like that…
Just like like clicking I accept on a website without reading the small text…
I used to be interested in UFO’s and all the conspiracy stuff since the 70’s - but in modern times, it seems it’s turned into a career option and the whole thing is like sinister fog cloud - hard to see what’s actually interesting and what’s a $$$$$ attractor!
It’s like anything tho, take it all in and use your own honesty, spirit, experience, to guide you though the nonsense.
There’s only 2 cases that interest me: That JAL flight and the NZ lights thing (was broadcast on BBC radio in the 70’s scary stuff!). The rest of the stuff - it’s all a bit too much $$$$ oriented for me.
