Anchoring the wrist on different guitar types

Hi everyone, my name is Dean. Been loving the videos for awhile now and gleaned much from them! Simply survey question here. How many of you players here anchor your wrist on the bridge for more control? I find it easier on Gibson guitars than with Fenders. What can I do to make them equally easier to anchor on a Fender Strat tremolo bridge as an example?
Thanks in advance for your tips!

Andy Wood and Brendan Small are both wrist players with a bridge anchor. Might be worth looking at their respective setups to see what, if anything, changes?

Will do, thanks Eric!

I’ve gone from multiple anchoring and pick grip styles over the past few years.
I can say without a doubt learning to float the wrist, and also anchor with the fingers on the body of the guitar has helped my fully anchored bridge style loads. It gives you more options and a greater feel for where the strings are if you’re competent in multiple styles. The three I use are the EVH middle finger style, Marty Friedman Gypsy jazz and Jason Becker semi floating with anchored Pinky.

I could try make a quick vid.

Maybe this’ll help
