anchoring when playing low-E?

Hello!

How do you go about anchoring your right hand when playing the low string? I changed my pick grip pretty recently (11 months in) and lately also started experimenting with more of DWPS-type motions and been making pretty surprising and decent progress.

The low-E string and to a lesser extent - the A-string are being problematic, though. Can’t seem to get consistent on them due to anchoring issues.

So how do you fine people anchor when playing the low E sort of “fast” esp. with DWPS?

Hi! If you are using a USX technique, where upstrokes escape, these techniques often have a little forearm motion involved. These techniques have a specific way they handle body positioning on the instrument which is pretty counterintuitive and does not rely on sliding the arm up and down to get to different strings.
