Marty talking about his beginnings as a player, background and influences, first band(s) as a teenager, his gear (or not, really) and so on. Oh, and Japan. Loads of Japan. And no Megadeth at all.

It was a good interview, and led to me to look up more of Marty’s work. Some of those TV shows in Japan are pretty funny.
Surprising about Megadeth though. Was a glaring omission, and you wonder if it was off-limits from some reason.

It would possibly be the case. Maybe Marty wanted the interview to focus on his solo work only. He still plays Megadeth stuff live, so I’m sure it’s not that off limits.
