Any players here or elsewhere who use the same technique as Mancuso?

I don’t know of others like Mancuso.

Cris Garcia.
But he’s not at the same level as Mancuso, due to “practice time with a specific technique.” But in any case, he’s awesome at it, not only with that, but with all guitar techniques. He’s a true virtuoso!
Besides him, Andre Nieri is very good at fingerpicking.
Karaí Guedes can do that on an electric guitar too.

You sound GREAT.
Did you develop the picado playing flamenco first?
Do you use fake nails?

Yeah, I’m from Spain, and here it’s pretty common to find gypsy guitar players who take flamenco guitar to a really high level. In 2020, I decided to learn some flamenco palos with different time signatures and techniques. I then applied that to the electric guitar, and some of the two-finger patterns I use actually come from strict flamenco three-finger picking—similar to what Billy Sheehan or Karai Guedes do.

My nails :nail_care: are natural. For both flamenco and electric guitar :guitar: you don’t need them very long—just slightly above the fingertip,

Cristian,
Once again, you sound fantastic.
Is there anything that you can do with a pick that you CAN’T do with fingers?
I believe that the Spanish/Classic technique is the greatest technique humans have for playing the guitar.
What do you think?

Sometimes when I play with my fingers and want to do something I’d usually do with a pick, I just use my index finger as if the nail were a pick! As for Spanish and classical technique, I’m not sure if it’s the best, but physically it feels more natural to use your hands rather than a tool like a pick. Also, the fact that classical and flamenco guitar have more than 300 years of history has allowed the technique to evolve much earlier than on electric guitar—at least in my humble opinion.
