I’ve always felt he is underappreciated. He seems to have mastered about every technique imaginable and has a very interesting way of constantly changing his pick hand for sweeping, tapping, slapping, tremolo picking etc… I also love his guitar tone.

Yeah I have a few Rage albums, Soundchaser is my favourite, but haven’t really studied his playing up close. Do you have any videos?
He left Rage awhile ago, that’s where I first saw him live. He’s with Alamanc now. This is an instrumental from a Rage album, but one of the few decent quality vids of him: Rage - Unity

. Huge Rage fan and Victor did have a bit of an impact on me back in the day. He’s got a very Van Halen-esque approach.

Love Smolski’s lead playing. Hit me hard in high school. I like the original Rage guitarist Manni as well, very stylish player.
Was really fortunate to see Smolski with Rage a couple times in 2011. Incredible player!

Awesome! I think I tracked down a Smolski model Engl, looks like they were serious about it being a limited edition. The great thing is I’ll play just like him if I have one.
I’m not too sure I’m into the current lineup, though tons of respect to Peavy for continuing to rock. 
I had a couple albums from wayyy back that I didn’t listen too much but the Soundchaser album did it for me, loved Smolski’s tone, the riffing and the leads. I have both Almanac albums and sadly tend to fast forward to the leads.
