From experiments with the table tapping test, I’ve noticed, what could be considered at least, “Shawn-Lane levels” of theoretical speed with lots of headroom and almost no exertion required with just the simple “door-knocking” wrist flexion and extension mechanic.
From here in this video, I’m doing 4 knocks per beat (or 8 down-ups/32nd notes) starting at what my metronome tells me, 150bpm and then 160bpm:
Now the question is–how do I put this on guitar? The shape of the average pick isn’t conducive to this, but I’m asking anyway on how I could potentially get this going.
