It’s been a long time since I learned a full song on the guitar.
Unfortunately I cannot say I learned by ear - I was looking at tabs far too much, but they seem to be in line with what the band is playing live. The main riff sounds nothing like this on the album though.
Almost everything i quad tracked, and there are two guitars, so eight guitar tracks in total. I was experimenting with some reverb a bit, sending signal from guitar bus to separate channel just to slap some reverb on it.
I was getting a lot of noise at quiet parts, i.e. guitars fading out, so I used stock Reaper plugin ReaFir, but this still left some artifacts.
Also, I need to learn how to setup my lamp so that my room is not illuminated, like I managed the last time.
