Just realised I never replied to your question, sorry for the delay!

Also, it very likely that you are playing all the notes correctly, and at the end of the day it’s the sound that counts :slight_smile: It’s just a bit hard to see these details in the video we discussed few days ago!

When we talk about “inside picking” we mean one of these things:

U on a lower string followed by D on a higher string
D on a higher string followed by U on a lower string

So for example this is all inside picked:

---3---3---3-
-5---5---5--- ...etc
 U D U D U D

On the other hand, this is all outside picked:

---3---3---3-
-5---5---5--- ...etc
 D U D U D U

For me ‘outside picking’ is when my pick moves to the next string I need to play, whilest ‘inside picking’ is when my pick moves from the next string I need to play.
It still means the same, technically, but this definition is closer to what I feel when playing. And it also may help to understand why people struggling with some particular kind of string changing.
