I just happened to stumble across this cover version. It’s one of my favorite songs. I knew Martin Miller from these forums so I gave it a listen. What an amazing performance! I never heard of the other guy named in the title. Assumption was it was the bass player or drummer. “But assumption makes an ass of u and umption” Turns out he’s the other guitar guy named. My bad. Ugh. He’s awesome. In this song I gave him the win for solos. It’s tidy. Of course MM is amazing.

Fantastic! I’ve mentioned Mark before…super good guy and he can play, to say the least!
Miller and Mark are part of a “new” generation of players who have amazing music theory chops and incredible technique…and (here’s the revolutionary part) they don’t necessarily shred and show their chops ALL the time, but rather opt to play with feeling and have a good grasp of tone and dynamics while playing relatively simple lines. Makes me feel good to know this is happening.
