Bruce Dickinson's "The Chemical Wedding"

Kinda forgot about this album until it crossed my mind in the context of a thread elsewhere about how low you can realistically tune on a 25.5" guitar (this was a 24.75" Les Paul in A Standard, so low), and I’ve been rocking it at work on one earbud ever since.

I love the title track:

…and that’s probably the best point to start, but the album closer (well, there’s a few other tracks on the 2021 remaster, but not the original) is worth a nod too:

…because I’ve always loved how they end this one - drop the intensity way down, and then quote the chorus of the title track, to end the song. It’s almost wistful, somehow? Just a haunting way to wind down the album.

Demilich (underground brutal death metal band, extremely weird, songs about 2e AD&D) tuned to A standard on Explorers, so no surprise there.

Evergrey tunes to drop G on 25.5" Caparisons, and Tom Englund claims to have no intonation issues. I am suspicious, however.
