A Shawn Lane-inspired moment, I reckon.
I have messed around a little bit with picking that far back - it’s interesting, and I can see an advantage for maximum speed potential.

I can also see the maximum for noise potential. Yeah that does seem pretty Lane inspired, he even has a similar what looks to be a training edge pick grip - though I could have sworn he was mostly leading edge, although that video was almost 30 years ago so who knows.
