After almost two years of practice I’m almost at the end of the Volcano seminar but I still have a question about how to group notes when using chunking accents.
Sometimes I’m not sure how to group notes, for exemple, I have no problem playing the six notes pattern but I can’t find a way to play the “Arpeggios - 2-String Diminished Asc” for a long time, I don’t know if I should put a chunking accent every 3 or 6 notes.
Another example, on Arpeggios - Diminished Fives Asc-Desc I would naturally hear a group of seven notes followed by groups of five notes, because if I choose to stick to the beat and groups of four notes, then some chunking accents fall on upstrokes and I can’t find a way to make it work.
By the way when I try to think in groups of four notes it doesn’t work, I can only manage to play the licks with groups of six notes but that doesn’t always work.
Any advice about how to make the good chunking choices ?
