Hello All! I’ve been working a lot lately on my ascending and descending scale runs. I do 3 notes per string on 3 strings ascending and then reverse it and descend it for a total of four 16th note groupings.
My upper ceiling for bpms on ascending vs descending is very close, but my descending feels a bit more fluid and I can do it about 10 bpms faster than my ascending. That being said, my max speed on combining these are set by my ascending speed.
The issue I’m having is that when I combine the ascending and descending scale patterns, I can’t do it cleanly at my max ascending speed. I thought it may be something to do with when I shift from ascending to descending, so I decided to isolate that portion, but I was able to perform it with no drop in bpms.
Is this likely an endurance issue from what I’ve described?
