I was wondering if someone could help me out with some analyzing of Dann Huff’s technique. Particularly if he uses usx or dsx. It looks like some elbow joint comes in on the really fast phrases and the tremolo. Based on his mixing of 2 notes per string and h/o and p/o to have the pick escape at the right time I would say he’s playing dsx. I would be grateful for any help. The solo starts at 4:56

What is this picking motion?

Hi all, Just curious about what could be the picking motion from Bernth here? He has really nice close up footage and specially at the fastest speeds it possible to see more of the forearm. I think there is some wrist flexion all along but is this pure wrist motion? In my case when I flex the wrist I end adding some amount of forearm rotation. He is using the same wrist/ brachioradialis flexing as Bernth is in the above topic, except Dan is using a tiny bit of finger movement too.
