DBX with zero pickslant for 3NPS – optimal long-term approach?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working through the Pickslanting Primer and focusing mainly on improving my three-notes-per-string playing (mostly rock/metal context).

From what I understand so far, DBX (double escape) seems to be the most logical approach for 3NPS lines, especially when switching strings after odd groupings.

My question is:

Is DBX with a neutral / zero pickslant generally considered the most efficient long-term solution for clean and fast 3NPS playing?

I’m already comfortable with USX, but I’m trying to build a reliable DBX motion specifically for 3NPS phrases. I just want to make sure I’m investing my practice time into the right primary mechanic instead of overcomplicating things.

Any insights from people who’ve gone deep into this would be appreciated.

Thanks and kind regards,
Christofer
