Hi all,

Hope you folks are doing alright. This was my first ever real EJ solo and one of my favorites of all time. I did do a rather unauthentic version of this a while back, but as it happened to be, a student of mine requested we learn this solo properly and since I wasn’t even sure I could remember everything, I decided to get busy woodshedding again.

The gear is the usual strat, ts-808, marshall 2061x on ten through a suhr RL and Logic X.

Quite odd to say, for as long as I have been playing, I’ve never had my own “guitar heroes” but EJ was the rare exception I found worthy of doing “note for note” or as close as I could get with my mortal ears.

Him and Clapton. I’m sensing half the magic is in the name…
