I have a question regarding the downward pickslant. How does one play pinch harmonics with the downward pickslant? Is there a different method to it?

Not at all, downward pickslanting is the default orientation for most of metal. Many metal riffs feature even numbers of notes to account for DWPS. As far as I know there’s no trick to generating them in this way.
pick harmonics should be pretty automatic with dwps. They CAN be done with uwps too but its seems awkward to me
