ive been working on these a bit lately…nothing too focused just throwing them in etc.
feels SO weird and unnatural to jump over the lower string with that outside movement. Especially since u are only there for a moment and then u have to jump the next strong right away etc
though I havent worked on them much at all, it feels easier to use UWPS and start on upstroke so you go to next lower string with “inside” movement.
I assume its because ive been pretty good at this sort of thing for quite a while:
B ---- 5----------------------
G-------------7-----5-----7 repeat etc. DUDU etc I been doing that one for years and often use that type of thing for a pickup phrase
B-----7-----5---------------
G-----------------7-----5— so this one feels hard for me lol. DUDU etc
in general whats the speed limitation? is is string tracking or is it just a matter of millions more reps or what?
I have licks etc that use that outside move to the lower string but its usually mixed into 3nps stuff so its not rapid and repetitive descending outside moves
for instance I can do this one fairly speedily with all DWPS starting on D.

g-------------------------------------------------------9–
is it beneficial to practice the cascade style downward pent stuff using rt hand only (no fretting)…too sort of see whether the rt or left is weaker…or is that just wasted time?
any ideas?
Thanks, JJ
