EJ pentatonic chunk fingering

I have been practising the EJ atom pentatonic chunk exercise from Cascade but cant decide if the lick is fretted with only the index and ring fingers.
I have been using my second finger on the 3rd string but cant break through the 85bpm barrier.

Any help would be welcome

Hi! If I recall, when you watch Eric do this, the five note sequence goes ring-index-ring-index-middle. Personally I’m equally comfortable with pinky-index-pinky-index-ring. In general, I always like to try everything, and choose whichever seems to work best, just to avoid wasting time.

Thanks. I have been trying different finger combinations. I think my problem is with hand coordination as it falls apart when I try and play it faster than 80bpm.
I’ll keep trying.
