How to you pick the opening sequence of end solo mr Crowley? Is it a downpicked sweep or inside pickingš¤ I think it sounds better when downpicked, but it so much harder to play that way.
I sweep it, bit too fast to reliably pick for me.

I do:
A: down
F: pull off
D: down
A: down
F: pull off
D: down
etc.
So basically I downpick (read: sweep) the 1st and 3rd notes in the sequence. Just takes some time to program it in, so to speak. Thatās probably how RR did it, too.

Thatās how I do it, same as RR, USX, outside picking with pull offs.
Sweeping up from E to B equires an extreme secondary motion to get back down to the E string,
and no one is going to mention the minimoog model d in that video!
