For Pickslanters Who Use The Elbow

Did you find it awkward to learn the upward and/or downward pick slanting motion after years of picking straight back and forth instead of picking at the angle required for escaping the plane of the strings in pick slanting?

Can you now pick just as fast as you could compared to when you picked straight back and forth (tremolo picking for the question), back when you didn’t escape from the strings on the downstroke for UWPS and on the upstroke for DWPS?

Finally, does the angle of motion pick slanting requires in order to escape from the plane of the strings make using pick slanting feel less natural than the back and forth motion you likely used for tremolo picking before discovering CTC, or does the angle of pick motion required for UWPS or DWPS now feel just as natural as the non-escaping from the plane of strings back and forth motion you used to use for tremolo picking?
