Hey folks! I have a quick question about funk music, when you play this genre do you consider the string gauge and the size of the pick? For example, do you think is appropriate to use 10-46 in strings and play with a 1.5mm pick? Thanks for the comments guys!

Most Funk guys I’ve met prefer thinner picks for fast strumming, like the orange or yellow Dunlop Tortex. It might be worth trying a thinner pick.

I thought the same — but I think Cory Wong may be an exception (I forgot exactly what pick he uses and why)
