1. I admit I have paid precisely zero attention to Gene Simmons as a player, but this is way cooler bass playing than I was expecting.

2. I was also not expecting to see the specific and very obvious technique I’m seeing. Name that picking technique!

He’s the bass player for one of the most successful bands that has ever been on this planet. Did you think he sucked? He ain’t Jaco but sure 30 plus years of touring has been helpful.
