Gilbert playing Yngwie lick

Hi all has anyone got the tab for the complete run of Paul Gilbert’s version of the Yngwie lick can’t work out the bits near the end thanks

Yeah, if for example you can post a youtube link (and the lick is not too crazy), I’m sure there are many people around here who might try to transcribe it for fun :slight_smile:

seems I saw Paul do the Yngwie style descending 4 on some vid somewhere but Paul did it in position as opposed to single string.

here he does a version of the Yngwie 6 note lick

I haven’t had time to tab it properly yet, but my first impression is that Paul is simply playing in a fixed key, and moving up the Yngwie pattern (3-1-2-3-2-1 where 3= highest of the 3 notes, 1=lowest) starting on each degree of the scale.

A quick guess would be that he is going through the Am scale on the high E string, starting on the 5th fret.

if u slow it down to 50% you can clearly hear that all he does is repeat the last 6 note figure an extra 2 times then the bend
