Greetings everybody!

Hi I am David. I have been playing guitar for about 17 years (but not professionally). I was struggling a lot with downward pick slanting (I have been an upward pick slanter all these 17 years) but I finally had a serious breakthrough after watching Teemu’s interview. Now I am improving my downward pick slanting before trying two way pick slanting. So far I have noticed that motor interference seems to be a serious thing for me since now that I have been playing using downward pick slanting for just a few months, upward pick slanting feels weird and not easy as before even after 17 years of using it. I am looking forward to continue improving my technique in general and take advantage of all new features including the forum!

Welcome, David! Great to have you here  And glad to hear the Teemu interview was helpful in illuminating the various flavors of pickslanting. Interesting re: motor interference…feel free to start a new topic here on the forum to see if others might share their experience on this too. In general probably a good idea to mix it up (“interleaved practice”) to keep the familiarity with UWPS even while putting more focus on DWPS practice.

Welcome David…I also used to be a kind of upward pickslanter… The Volcano seminar is great for achieving downward pickslanting… that one helped me a lot!!!
