Guitar Solo for ‘Dont Tell Me You Love Me’ by Night Ranger…

So I have been killing myself trying to nail down the guitar solo for ‘Dont Tell Me You Love’ by Night Ranger. For those of you who know the song, I’m referring to the second half of guitar solo where Jeff Watson comes in with that cool catchy shred.

Do any you guys here know how to play that song…and if so, what technique do you use to play part?? I attempting to do it all with tremelo picking but it feels like it could work with some sort of economy style picking as well.

Thoughts?

Yeah, in the video, Jeff talks about practicing the solo slowly using alternate picking, but at speed it seems that he switches to a hybrid economy alternate upward pick slant escape motion.

Nice to see the proof!

This solo sounds brutal in the original song, what a monster player.
