I’m Omar, I hail from Egypt and I’m 16, which doesn’t mean I’m “special” for being young or anything. I’ve been playing guitar for 4 years and as for the music I like, I don’t really have a specific genre that I consider my favorite, but my influences would explain my preferences better as they range from Hendrix and SRV to Pat Metheny and Django Reinhardt.
I’m mostly self-taught, I got lessons for 2 months and then I just went on from there. I’ve spent these past few years on and off with guitar until last year when I started getting really passionate about it. I recently found cracking the code through “technique research” and it seemed like the kind of friendly community I’d want to participate in. I watched all episodes of the CTC series and it just intrigued me which led me to the forum.
