Hi everyone, I’m Joe Walker. I run Deft Digits Guitar Lessons in Seattle. Been playing for 20 years, but really got excited about speed when I found Troy’s videos. I enjoy the Eric Johnson and crosspicking techniques the most.
Hey Joe!
Josh here.
I’m also a teacher, though strictly via the interwebs these days—I’m the guy behind fretboardanatomy dot com.
I’m out of Chicago, but… Seattle = Paseo, the best sandwich on planet earth. Mmmm.
Hey Joe, welcome! I’m in NYC now (Brooklyn = Cracking the Code HQ) but I grew up in Seattle. Actually been visiting family out in Whidbey Island this past week…still think NW summers are about the best anywhere If you particularly dig the crosspicking stuff you’ll definitely like the Molly Tuttle interview which we’ll have coming pretty soon here!
Right on! My parents and grandparents are in Oak Harbor. And I try to make it to Langley in the fall for Djangofest when I can. I met Joscho Stephan there a few years ago.
I heard about the upcoming Molly Tuttle interview, and I’m pumped! I showed “White Freightliner Blues” to all my students after the first time Troy mentioned her.
Hey hey! Alex here, also checking from Seattle. Maybe we should hold the first Pick Slanting-Con in the Emerald City!
Another PNWesterner reporting in. I live in Vancouver, Canada but I’m in Seattle on the regular visiting friends/family/girls, so there’s that.
Justin here. I live in Chilliwack, BC, Canada (just an hour outside of Vancouver). Nothing like the Pacific Northwest. Glad there’s some fellow Canadians on the forum.
