Nice! Always fun to hear. Between my buddies and I, we have most all the OG mark series and we’re always surprised by how similar they sound, definitely more alike than different.

I spent years hating MESA I think because it was mostly Rectifiers I’d tried.

then I played the Mark III somewhere and loved it.

Makes sense, I think people think ALL Mesa amps are supposedly good, but it’s really a few models only. In fact, rev C rectifiers sound amazing, whereas rev G and on are the “stereotypical” recto tone.

spent the last 6 weeks in CA. Mostly just employing @Troy 's method of dicking around on an unplugged electric while my relatives watched TV.

I’m stunned at my progress now that I’m home.

Biggest thing - I’ve somehow employed more edge picking. Huge difference in my comfort with sweeping lines. (Hard to convey comfort in a video but here’s the sweep lick from Holy Wars below)

I’ve also vastly improved my USX motion. Many difficulties I’ve had with my own music is easily solvable by simply switching from DSX to USX. Massive. Thank you all.

(and especially @Insanefury for help on this solo!)
