How Do You Turn Off "Auto -Correct" On A Mac?

When you type a proper name, does your computer try to “auto-correct” what you spelled by literally changing what you spelled into an entirely different name? My computer does that, not just when I type on this site, but other places such as on YouTube’s comment section. I think it may even do it when I use Word.

I neither need nor want my computer changing the way I spell names. How do I turn off this unbelievably annoying feature on a Mac?

I think its System preferences -> keyboard -> text and then turn disable «correct spelling automatically “
