How to pick Tommo's Magnet Blues?

Tommo’s Magnet Blues is an etude to help with USX, so how do you pick the three circled notes? Down-sweep-down maintaining USX? Or, down-up-down using DSX or DBX? Or?

Good question! I think when I played it I just did a swipe, but you can also use hybrid picking - or even string hopping since that section is not super fast

Hehe I’m sure he’d find a way. After all he can do that mysterious pedal tone lick which is all one note per string!

Ahh, I didn’t know that. After trawling through the forum I see that he actually does use DBX for those pedal licks. That’s not covered in the Volcano seminar though, is it?
