Perhaps if I could have studied this way 30 years ago but it doesn’t matter. After about 3 months I can say that it’s fantastic.

If I would have studied this way 30 years ago (well, 25 years ago since I have only been playing that long) I am pretty sure I’d be good enough now to have an ego problem 
There are many ‘right ways’ to get better. This site helps shed light on what works, what doesn’t and how to identify what may be holding you back. I am projecting at my current rate of improvement that within the next 2 years I’ll be able to stop ‘practicing’ (other than some light maintenance) and just ‘play’. Whenever that happens, because it will at some point, I’ll have this site to thank.
