…and I didn’t even want to! Yesterday I was fooling around with elbow picking a little bit and felt like I was hyperpicking for a moment. Managed to recall the movement a few times and couldn’t bring it back. Today I was practicing Steve Morse’s Stressfest (that’s why there’s a backing track in the background) in front of the camera, I gave it a try again and this happened.
Cool! I can’t do this myself but I think that’s exactly how the learning stage of hyper-picking should look like: a bit irregular but with some “windows of correctness” where the movement is smooth and fast.
That’s definitely the real deal! Nice work. As @Tommo says, this is exactly how the discovery process works.
That’s a very nice Ran guitar.
They went out of business unfortunately. I knew Dariusz (Ran CEO) personally and visited the factory many times, we used to live in the same city.
That’s a nice Crusher! One time Dariusz gave me and my friend Marcin 6 guitars to record a demo.
Marcin currently works at Skervesen, there are many Ran and Skervesen demos on his channel, check em out. I was involved in some of them. He writes killer modern metal riffs.
Awesome! I think I actually saw one of his videos on the Ran Guitars website a few years ago. Everything about it was badass
Wish I’d gotten a few more of their guitars when I had the chance.
Good job!
I was messing around a bit with hyperpicking myself and I did briefly get it going, however it felt extremely tense, zero control and actually felt like if I try keep this going, I’m gonna injure myself. So, although I did briefly get those spasms of speed, I don’t know if I’d be able to turn it into anything useable as it’s so uncomfortable.
