Hi guys
First post here! I’ve been making my way through the Volcano seminar and already made massive progress, it’s unlocked a lot of stuff I was hearing before but could never actually figure out.
My stumbling block at the moment is incorporating these patterns (four or six note ones) into improvised solos - anyone have any useful tips on how to get this going? The issue seems to be when I want to start a shred pattern but realise that the last note I played was the wrong direction of pick stroke, therefore ruining the whole thing because these patterns have to start with downstrokes to work. Is this something that just requires repeated practice to get right or are there any useful shortcuts/tips to get this happening?
Loving the site, I haven’t spent this much time eagerly practicing in ages
