Sorry for the newbie question but anyone found a good app for playing back your iPhone videos at different speeds? I’ve tried SloPro- not bad. I’m on iOS12 iPhone X.
The iPhone has pretty good built in support for adjusting playback speed of slow-mo video, as shown here: https://help.apple.com/iphone/11/#/iph61f49e4bb. This just lets you switch between regular speed and full slow mo but a lot of the time that’s all you really need.
For more control / variable speed playback, this app seems pretty good: https://www.studioneat.com/products/slowfast
I’ve never used SloPro but looks like it lets you do some more extreme slow-mo stuff, though keep in mind that may be at the software level, simulating super high framerate video for extreme effect but not actually getting you more detail. For our purposes 120fps is usually plenty! iPhones can now do 240fps for slow-mo but we mostly don’t even use that because it’s usually overkill and results in a bit lower quality footage than shooting in 120fps.
Thanks Brendon for the quick reply!
By the way has anything changed regarding purchasing the Magnet clamp? Anyone making them now?
No prob! We haven’t yet gotten the Magnet mass manufactured, though maybe at some point in the future. For now you can grab our DIY instructions if you’re interested in assembling one yourself, detail on that here: https://troygrady.com/magnet/
Wow- the Slow Fast app is amazing. So quick to use and does exactly what I want. Quick to export to library too. Thanks!
