On a big Jason Becker kick lately, my goal is to have full playthroughs of Perpetual Burn, Altitudes and Serrana. I also have a couple Jeff Loomis and Yngwie pieces underway, really decided this year I’m trying to just slaughter my sweep and economy picking game whatever it takes.
Sounding great! Do you use economy picking mostly as your sort of default picking?
The opposite really, I was trying to alternate pick everything for a while when I was getting back into guitar about a year ago, and started going over Troy’s videos. I’d like to tackle Gambale sweeping soon as part of the sweeping/economy practice.
Good plan, Gambale is a monster, if you can nail that economy approach you’ll be flying
