Some folks may already be aware, but Jimmy Bruno, a jazz great who we’ve seen interviewed on CTC, has been hospitalized since July after suffering a fall and a seizure.
Rather than trying to summarize the current state of things, I refer you to the official facebook page of his online school, where his family has posted some updates on his condition:

terrible news… I wish Jimmy a speedy recovery… when my guitar teacher recommended ‘no nonsense jazz guitar’ it really helped my development with playing changes, and basic jazz theory… jimmy is an awesome guy…

I had fallen out of the loop on this, but a couple of weeks ago, Jimmy started posting short youtube clips from home. In the latest clip he’s even picked up the guitar.
It’s great to see him with a guitar in his hands!
